Full Day Tarabuco (On Sunday only)

Tour Description

Departure from Sucre toward the community of Tarabuco, located to 64 kilometers from the city of Sucre. On Sunday is performed a very colorful weekly and craft market in this community where you can appreciate the people that bring their produce to market for trade in food, agricultural products, clothing, and other animals. The most attractive aspect of this community are the inhabitants of different neighboring regions, which still can be seen in them the purity of their culture, wearing the best of their traditional dress, unique and colorful contrasts.

Tarabuco also preserves traditions and customs of their culture; one is the Pujllay, a traditional festival held in this community, the purest to maintain its heavy dancing, their music in melancholy tone and monotonous solo singing, folk manifestation of the peasant who tries to express his love to a girl. This festival is celebrated on the third Sunday in March.

This tour lasts 7 hours and starts in the morning from 8:30 a.m.
